Located in Northumberland, England, this castle from the 12th century is known for its horrifying history of executions ranging from beheadings to being hung, drawn and quartered. Visitors can check out the Torture Chamber with grisly torture gadgets such as an executioner’s block, thumb screws and a tool to gouge eyes out.
The creepiest room in the castle is the Pink Room which has had reports of the Blue Boy consisting of eerie flashing blue lights and loud wailing. Apparently, the wailing stopped after the remains of a man and young boy was found inside a wall.
